The Saturn Astra, a rebadged version of the Opel Astra, was introduced to the North American market in 2008 as a compact hatchback offering European styling and engineering.
Powered by a 1.8L Variable Valve Timing DOHC engine, the Astra delivered 138 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.

Latin American models: 1994-2011
The Chevrolet Astra, also sold as the Saturn Astra in some markets, featured a range of engine configurations over its production years, including a 2.0L 8-valve engine producing 116 PS (85 kW) and later a 2.0L 16-valve engine with outputs up to 136 PS (100 kW).
