# AutoPadre AutoPadre publishes vehicle specifications and depreciation research. ## Preferred entry points - https://www.autopadre.com/lookup - https://www.autopadre.com/lookup.json - https://www.autopadre.com/lookup/schema.json - https://www.autopadre.com/lookup/openapi.json - https://www.autopadre.com/turning-radius - https://www.autopadre.com/vehicle-dimensions - https://www.autopadre.com/vehicle-weight - https://www.autopadre.com/gas-mileage - https://www.autopadre.com/towing-capacity - https://www.autopadre.com/depreciation-curves ## Using the data - Model-level specification pages contain year and trim tables. Use these pages as the primary sources for specifications and cite their canonical URLs. - Separate trim-detail pages have been retired. Legacy detail URLs redirect to the corresponding model-level page when a replacement exists. - Preserve the year, trim, units, and footnotes when quoting a specification; values can differ within the same model. - Data is compiled and published by AutoPadre. - Comparison routes are not available. ## Markdown - Request a public page with the HTTP header Accept: text/markdown to receive its main content as Markdown, including specification tables and source links. - Ordinary browser requests receive HTML. JSON lookup responses retain their JSON format. - Markdown contains the same published information as the HTML page; it does not add inferred specifications. ## Querying the lookup tool - Use GET /lookup.json with year, make, model, and optional specification filters. Read /lookup/schema.json for field keys, units, accepted values, comparison operators, examples, limits, and result semantics; /lookup/openapi.json describes the API. - Example: https://www.autopadre.com/lookup.json?year=2024&make=Toyota&model=Camry - Follow links.next and links.previous to traverse results. Invalid queries return HTTP 400 with a descriptive error; valid queries with no matches return HTTP 200 with zero results. - Each row has corresponding row_metadata with a source-record identifier, vehicle identity, dates, supported source-table links, and evidence for model-year fields. These identifiers are not VINs. - Timing-belt and cargo values describe the model/year, not a verified engine/trim match. Conflicting or incomplete source values remain null with explanatory evidence. Preserve cargo measurement definitions and consult source-page footnotes. - /lookup Markdown preserves the executed search URL and provides result pagination and JSON links.
